MH17 - 3 Weeks at the Crash Site [DAY6 JUL22]

"3 Weeks at the Crash Site" is a comprehensive timeline of events following the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17. The sixth part of this series continues from 12:00AM on July 22, 2014. All times are in local Ukrainian time (UTC+3).

On July 22 the black boxes from MH17 were handed over to Malaysian representatives who then traveled with most of the bodies to Ukrainian-controlled Kharkiv. Malaysians later inspected the crash site along with the OSCE who reported being provided "unlimited access". European foreign ministers met in Brussels to impose measures against Russia.

Ukrainian forces regained control of Severodonetsk and Popasna. Jets bombed nearby Pervomaisk and civilians were killed after more shelling in Lugansk. Shaposhnykovo was stuck with GRADs in an attack that began the night before. Fighting was heard in Donetsk and near the crash site, and DPR forces gained control of positions near the Russian border.

7 REASONS TO WITHHOLD MILITARY AID FROM UKRAINE #withholdwar

US President Donald Trump is being impeached for briefly withholding military aid from Ukraine, but it should never have been provided in the first place. Here are just some of the reasons why it should be withheld.

Ukrainian tanks rolled into Mariupol on the 9th of May (2014), leaving dead bodies and a burning police station in their wake. “Rocket-propelled grenades fired in city centre streets, shooting, where yesterday people were shopping.”[1]

An airstrike killed “5 women… 3 men,” in the centre of Lugansk on the 2nd of June. Ukraine denied the airstrike and blamed a bomb from inside the admin building and a heat-seeking rocket that targeted the air conditioner.[2]

A surgeon in Krasny Liman was killed by a shell fragment after Ukraine deliberately targeted the railway hospital on the 3rd of June.[3]

Human Rights Watch reported that on the 2nd of July an airstrike killed 9 people in Stanitsa Luganska, including a father and his 5-year-old son.[3]

On the 12th of July, “multiple rockets hit a residential area in western Donetsk… killing 7 people, including 2 children… The evidence strongly indicates that Ukrainian government forces were responsible.”[4]

The south of Lugansk was bombarded on the 13th and 14th of July. “Among the dead, a female guard at the Lugansk southern district school.”[5] The OSCE inspected the area amidst a crowd of suffering locals.[6]

On the 15th of July a warplane attacked Snezhnoye, “shattering homes and killing 11 people.”[7] Locals desperately rescued a young boy from underneath the rubble. “Yes, he’s in bed. In a blanket.”[8]

"3 Weeks at the Crash Site" is a comprehensive timeline of events following the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17. The fifth part of this series continues from 12:00AM on July 21, 2014. All times are in local Ukrainian time (UTC+3).

On July 21 Grad rockets killed 4 civilians in the north of Donetsk during a Ukrainian military operation near the airport. Ukrainian forces also launched airstrikes in Dzerzhinsk before capturing the city along with Rubezhnoye and several other locations.

Malaysian Prime Minister Razak reached an agreement with DPR Prime Minister Borodai to retrieve the bodies and black boxes from the crash site. While Dutch experts on the ground were impressed with the body recovery effort, it was condemned by President Obama and speakers at the United Nations.

On July 20 fighting continued around Donetsk, Grad rockets hit Lugansk and Smerch rockets hit Lisichansk. Ukraine operated jets over Molodogvardeysk and elsewhere in the Lugansk region.

The OSCE visited the railway station at Torez where victims of the MH17 crash were being collected for transport. John Kerry appeared on 5 Sunday shows to accuse the DPR of shooting down MH17. DPR Prime Minister Alexander Borodai announced the black boxes had been found and were ready to be handed over.

"3 Weeks at the Crash Site" is a comprehensive timeline of events following the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17. The third part of this series continues from 12:00AM on July 19, 2014. All times are in local Ukrainian time (UTC+3).

On July 19 bodies were collected by the side of the road, loaded onto trucks and transferred to refrigerated railway cars waiting nearby in Torez. During a briefing on the downing of MH17, Ukrainian Counterintelligence Chief Vitaly Nayda claimed 3 Buk launchers were smuggled back to Russia the day before.

Ukrainian government forces launched Grad rockets at residential areas and a school in Donetsk, as civilians retreated into bomb shelters. More rockets hit Lugansk and the OSCE observed some of the damage. Airstrikes were carried out near Krasny Luch.

"3 Weeks at the Crash Site" is a comprehensive timeline of events following the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17. The second part of this series continues from 12:00AM on July 18, 2014. All times are in local Ukrainian time (UTC+3).

On July 18 OSCE monitors arrived to the crash site where emergency workers were searching for bodies. A UN Security Council session was held to discuss the tragedy. Ukraine produced more alleged phone taps and a video showing a Buk launcher moving “through Krasnodon”.

Fighting continued on several fronts with Grad rockets hitting Severodonetsk and Lisichansk, killing civilians and setting an oil refinery on fire. Many more civilians were killed in a brutal scene in the city of Lugansk.
